Will Levitt has spent nearly his entire life in idyllic Iverson Beach, NC. But he’s also watched it change. As more and more tourists overflow into his small, historical beach town, Will grows more and more jaded. And now, it’s put a block in his ability to compose music as well. When he gets new neighbors, he’s optimistic—until their daughters turn out to be party animals. Will is wondering how he’s ever going to get out of this slump until a new muse appears in town. Only one problem—she’s one of his neighbors’ daughters.
Filly Andersen always wanted to be an art teacher. But starting a career during a pandemic isn’t ideal. When her parents retire to a house on the beach, Filly decides to take a year off to reflect and reevaluate her life—beachside. The guy who lives next door might be even more beautiful than the ocean, but her sisters can’t stand him. Plus, they’re too busy trying to set her up with their friends. But with Filly’s dog constantly playing matchmaker, it’s hard to ignore the dreamy neighbor. Appeasing her sisters is something Filly has always done, but this situation is trickier than she bargained for on her low-stress summer.

Hi there! I’m Caitlyn. I’m a stay-at-home mom, musician, crafter, and player of much Dungeons and Dragons. Before staying at home with my two kids, I taught elementary and pre-school music for eight years.
After going far too long without reading for pleasure, I picked up a romantasy novel in January of 2022. It rekindled my love of reading, and reminded me that I have stories that have been living in my brain for decades that need to be shared, too.
As I reflected on my history with writing, I realized that my love of it is as old as my love of music. I was writing plays and (what I didn’t realize at the time was) fanfiction as early as elementary school.
In highschool, I wrote various bits of fiction, and it was then that the ideas for my fantasy/romance epic began. While this isn’t my first published book, it is an ongoing project that I look forward to completing and sharing with everyone someday.
I enjoyed writing fanfiction in the late 2010s for awhile, before depression caught up with me. Then, I set writing aside altogether until I was ready to start working on my own IPs. In 2022, I started work back up on my fantasy, though I had been world building for it before then, and using it as a campaign setting for my table top adventuring hobby.
Last summer, a trip to the beach inspired me, and I decided to take a break from the mountainous work of fantasy to write something short and sweet. It feels great to have finished a novel. I have a few other ideas for romances floating in my head – we’ll see which project I focus on next!
